So, we do marble polishing in New Jersey? Yes, I say, we go everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Also, any time. Now, I remember, quite clearly, the quartzite bar at the Cape May hotel. I’m not kidding, this quartzite, is the hardest stone ever. The quartzite, is a clear, crystalline stone. Indeed, the diamond resin pads are ineffective against it. Now, with a little patience, and plenty of elbow grease, the etches are eliminated. So, voila!

From Cape May County I head, now, to Somerset County and another crack issue in marble. Marble polishing New Jersey to the rescue.

Lately, I see many cracks in marble and granite. Well, let’s see how I fix these issues.

It’s an epoxy filler job, of course. Many times, a crack filled with epoxy needs to be grinded smooth. Expoxy may be colored to match the stone.

Now, I’m on Staten Island honing a kitchen countertop. It’s currently shiny, so I grind it down with a 200 grit pad. Then, onto 400 grit. Finally, I finish it off with honing powder.
Also, I see a Quartz, man made, kitchen countertop island. I dare not grind into it. My plan is to scrub it clean with honing powder and then, seal it.
Often, I change marble surfaces from honed to polished and vice versa. Soft hone look reveals the hidden beauty of natural stone. Polished marble highlights the high shine, itself.

Out in western New Jersey, I encounter a black absolute granite kitchen countertop that has become dull. The procedure to restore granite encompasses polish and wax. Then, the true beauty of black absolute comes forth.

As far as removing stains in stone, a homemade poultice is quite effective. Simply mix peroxide and baking soda into a paste. Apply the paste to the stain, cover with plastic and wait. It takes several days for the poultice to work the stain out.
